Judson L. Whitlock has spent more than four decades building a distinguished career in Georgia’s luxury residential real estate market. An associate broker with Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty since 2010, he brings deep market knowledge, longstanding client relationships, and a strong appreciation for the architecture, construction, and design that distinguish exceptional homes.
Among the most notable milestones in Mr. Whitlock’s career is his involvement in the sale of a Georgia residence that achieved a then-record price of $2.8 million in 1988. The same property sold for $18.1 million in 2021, marking another significant transaction. His work with the residence has also included oversight of a $9 million renovation, reflecting his understanding of both the residential market and the value of thoughtful property improvements.
His professional approach combines careful attention to each property with a commitment to clients whose real estate needs often extend beyond a single transaction. Repeat business and referrals have played an important role in his career, reflecting the trust he has built through consistent service and informed guidance.
Before joining Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty, Mr. Whitlock spent 25 years with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, serving as previews manager from 1983 to 2008. In that position, he contributed to the development and expansion of the company’s Previews Program, helping strengthen its luxury-property marketing capabilities.
Earlier, he served as vice president of Whitlock-Dobbs, Inc. from 1973 to 1984, developing experience in business operations, planning, and client relations. His service in the United States Navy Reserve also helped shape the discipline and sense of responsibility that have informed his professional life.
Mr. Whitlock’s achievements include the Phoenix Award, which his supplied biography reports he earned for ten consecutive years; three appearances in the Top Producers Club; and the Crystal Phoenix and Silver Phoenix awards. The source biography also reports that he has ranked within the top five percent of agents by individual sales volume.
He has been recognized by Creative Media Who’s Who for contributions to luxury real estate, professional achievement, industry leadership, and reputation.
Beyond sales and brokerage, Mr. Whitlock has contributed to the preservation of Georgia’s architectural heritage. As a former chair of the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation, he supported efforts to protect and promote the state’s historic places and distinctive built environment.
He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from Georgia State University in 1974. His longstanding interests in construction and design complement that financial background and inform his perspective on renovation, development, and real estate investment.
Throughout his career, Mr. Whitlock has emphasized honesty, professionalism, and exceptional client service. His relationships with clients frequently extend across many years, with some developing into lasting friendships. This relationship-centered approach, paired with experience in high-value transactions and historic properties, remains central to his work in Georgia’s luxury real estate market.
