Rodwell O’ Granville Buckley, PhD: Chief Executive Officer, Faith Mission Temple International Inc.

Rodwell O’ Granville Buckley, PhD, Chief Executive Officer at Faith Mission Temple International Inc., was born on the island of Antigua. Dr. Buckley was encouraged by his mother to pursue a formal education, but he did not get the opportunity to finish high school until he relocated to America at 34 years old. He earned a bachelor’s degree in social sciences from Olivet Nazarene University and a master’s degree in management from Howard University. He subsequently concluded his academic efforts with a Doctor of Philosophy in social work. In 1979, he became the founder, chief executive officer and prelate at Faith Mission Temple International Inc. A certified minister by the Barbados School of Theology, Dr. Buckley continues to demonstrate success in these roles to this day.

Dr. Buckley is the owner of Brooklyn Senior Daycare. He has completed missionary work in Eastern and Western African countries. He is additionally involved with the Church of the Nazarene. Throughout his entire career, he has prioritized caring for those with disabilities and providing shelter for those without, all of which has been achieved through his work with his ministry. Dr. Buckley is proud of his myriad accomplishments, and he attributes his success to his mother’s influence, as she emphasized to him to never give up on his dreams.

Dr. Buckley considers one of his greatest achievements to have been planning and building a healthcare clinic in Liberia. He enjoyed his experience in administrative roles, and his time teaching others how to properly care for those in need. Looking toward the future, he has no plans to retire as he hopes to continue working in his current positions for as long as he possibly can.

Dr. Buckley subscribes to his personal motto: “Never expect justice but never cease to give it.”
