James F. "Jim" Morgan has been active in his community since graduating from law school in 1969. He served three terms in the North Carolina House of Representatives, representing Guilford County. Jim has served as PRESIDENT or CHAIRMAN of over seventy-five organizations, including STATEWIDE ORGANIZATIONS: he has served as CHAIRMAN or PRESIDENT of the North Carolina Jaycees, Metropolitan Chambers of Commerce, North Carolina Council of Bar Presidents, United Way of North Carolina, North Carolina Commission on Legal Aid in North Carolina, and North Carolina Shakespeare Festival.

Mr. Morgan has most recently excelled as the Managing Partner and Attorney at Law with Morgan, Herring, Morgan, Green & Rosenblutt, LLP. Through this firm, he is responsible for handling cases regarding civil litigation, criminal defense, real estate, bankruptcy, estate planning, and personal injury. A shining achievement of his career was serving as president of the High Point JC’s, a leadership training organization for young men. During his tenure with the organization, he held many executive positions and was proud to have brought the membership count from 75 to over 200. For his accomplishments in the field, Mr. Morgan has been the recipient of numerous honors, including the Professional of the Year for Outstanding Achievement in Field of Law, the Star Award from the High Point Arts Council, and the Philanthropist of the Year from the Association of Fundraising Professionals, among other accolades.

In Regional Organizations, Jim Morgan has served as CHAIRMAN of Guilford Technical Community College, High Point Regional Health Systems Board of Trustees, Hospice of the Piedmont, Guilford County Bar (18), Alcohol and Drug Services of Guilford, Guilford Technical Community College Foundation, Triad Chambers of Commerce, NCCJ Walk as One Committee, Guilford Education Alliance, High Point District Trustees–United Methodist Church, UNC-G, Bryan Economic Development Council, Piedmont Triad Aerotropolis Project, Cornerstone Foundation, Junior Achievement of Central NC, UNC-Bryan School Business Advisory Board, Piedmont Triad Partnership, High Point Area Arts Council, YMCA Metro Board, YMCA South Field Committee 1990–1994, and YMCA Trustees.

In Business Organizations, Jim Morgan has served as CHAIRMAN of High Point Chamber of Commerce, High Point Merchants Association, High Point Economic Development Corporation, High Point Convention and Visitors Bureau in 1992–1994, 1999–2001, and 2009–2010, High Point Partners, and the Piedmont Triad Partnership.

Mr. Morgan has chaired more than 75 charitable organizations throughout his career. In five years, he will continue working in the full-service practice, assisting clients at reasonable prices. He intends to reevaluate his work schedule but enjoys the work he does with his community. Outside of work, he enjoys dancing, playing volleyball, yard work, and fundraising events in his spare time. He has been providing personalized legal representation in High Point and its surrounding communities for more than 50 years.
